If we continue to exploit natural resources as we do now we will need resources from three globes to cover our consumption by 2050. Limited resources require a transition from the throwaway society to a circular society.
Hummeltorp has long focused on recycling and converting filling materials, excavation and rock masses, as well as concrete and asphalt into materials that often have better properties than the original resource. New for this year is that we can now report how circular Hummeltorp’s end products are with the help of C-measures – a revolutionary measure in the recycling industry.
The purpose of C-measures is to measure the proportion of products that are circular. For every ton of material that reaches C-measure 100%, the use of non-renewable natural resources is reduced by one ton. The majority of Hummeltorp’s products are 100% circular.
