Last week, Hummeltorp’s CEO had the honor of attending a representative dinner at the Vasa Museum organized by Colorado’s governor, Jared Polis. Among those present were the governor, his delegation and the US ambassador in Sweden, Erik Ramanathan. In addition to a tasty dinner and a historical setting, the evening offered talks about future trade collaborations.
Hummeltorp’s recycling facility in Grödinge has attracted great international interest. No less than 24 states in the United States have shown interest in implementing similar facilities. One of the reasons for this is that on a global level only a few percent of all excavated materials are recycled. We are still missing out on great opportunities to recycle important natural resources that have a huge impact on the environment, the climate and the groundwater.
With a vision of establishing 10,000 facilities worldwide, Hummeltorp wants to make use of excavated materials and residual products from construction processes that are otherwise discarded or dumped in landfills.
We want to extend a big thank you to Governor Jared Polis, Ambassador Erik Ramanathan and the delegation for their great interest in these important issues!
