Hummeltorp’s staff group has had the honour of spending an exclusive full day at Volvo Eskilstuna and SWECON – one of the largest display facilities of construction machinery in Europe. With an arena for electric and autonomous machine demonstrations, a 66,000 square meter test track and an energy recovery system for the factory, the visit was very inspiring!
We at Hummeltorp got to test drive several machines, including the wheel loader L90H and Volvo’s largest model L350H. We also tested the brand new EC530EL and EC550EL – machines that, with clearly improved efficiency and reduced fuel consumption, provide great climate benefits. The EC530EL will be delivered to Hummeltorp during the autumn and the machine will primarily be used in the crushing facility and in the coarse sorter. The crushing plant crushes stones into gravel and the coarse sorter is the first step in sorting and recycling the excavated material.
